The Most Sustainable Booth Is the One You Didn’t Build From Scratch

October 14, 2026

Trade shows can generate an enormous amount of waste, and most of it comes from a single habit. A booth gets built for one show, crated up, and either sits in storage for a year untouched or gets thrown out entirely when the next budget cycle calls for something new. Multiply that across every brand at every show, and you’re looking at a lot of lumber, steel, and vinyl heading to a landfill for something that only existed for three or four days on a show floor. We’ve spent 43 years inside this industry, and our rental program exists specifically to cut that cycle down.

The core of it is our modular framing system, built on the Aluvision platform. The frame is lightweight, reusable, and designed to come apart and go back together quickly, using Aluvision’s own connecting hardware, which is built to hold up through years of repeated assembly. The same structure that built a booth for one client last quarter gets reconfigured into a different size and layout for the next one, and the one after that. Nothing about that process means cutting new lumber or welding new steel every time a client books a show. The material footprint of one frame gets spread across dozens of uses instead of ending in a dumpster after one.

That reuse is only half the story, because a reused frame still has to look like it belongs to your brand and not the client before you. That’s where our in-house printing comes in. We wrap every rental structure with your colors, your logo, and your messaging, so what shows up on your floor looks fully custom and built just for you, and the frame underneath can be configured to whatever your project needs. You get the branded, polished look of a custom build without the environmental cost of fabricating one from raw materials every single time.

The same thinking applies to everything that goes inside the booth, not just the frame around it. Our rental lineup covers modular and portable booths, furnishings and kiosks, pillowcase tension fabric signage and walls, AV and technology packages, rental LED screens, and the graphic production and installation that ties it all together. These are the pieces that get used for one show and then sit unused until the next one if a company buys them outright instead of renting. Cycling a kiosk or an LED screen through dozens of booths a year, instead of letting it collect dust in a warehouse between the two or three shows any one client needs it for, is the same sustainability math as the frame itself. Every rental piece is built to last, so it keeps its strength and function through show after show. When loading, shipping, and setup leave a scuff or a worn part, we fix it before the piece goes back out. We call it custom rental for a reason. A lot of what we do is upcycling: we take an existing structure and give it new facades and textured substrates, so it carries your brand’s personality and tells the story you want to tell. Adding detail to a structure that’s already built is the most sustainable way to get a booth that feels one of a kind.

There’s a budget and timeline upside here too. Rentals turn around faster than full custom builds, and you’re not paying to fabricate and then store something you’ll only use a handful of times a year. But the reason we built the program this way is the waste question. An industry built on disposable booths doesn’t have to stay that way, and a frame that gets reused, rewrapped, and reused again is a meaningfully smaller footprint than one built once and forgotten.

We manage the inventory and condition tracking on our end too, so every time a rental comes back through our shop for its next wrap, we already know what it needs before your team asks. That’s how a single frame can serve dozens of brands over its life and still show up looking and working like new. It keeps a lot of material out of the landfill, and your booth still feels like yours. If sustainability is part of what your brand wants to say at your next show, the booth itself can be part of that message, not just the messaging printed on it.
